#4 Recreation and continue towards the Alps
In the morning in the village Sigisweiler I could see from my bed that the tent was not wet outside. Wow! When I wanted to get up, it started to rain. In the rain I packed up the tent and drove off trembling with cold.
#3 Finally flat, for now
I slowly got out of bed, took a shower again, got a coffee from the camping neighbor, and ate my can (ravioli) for breakfast. Finally, it was gone. That was really disgusting but filled the stomach.
#2 A day’s rest and continue
Since I wasn’t physically fit, I spent a whole day relaxing in the beautiful Sauerland village. Great air and beautiful views, plus sunshine and the knowledge that the weather is finally getting better.
Knees smeared with tiger balm, later a little walk to keep moving. Really good for me.

It starts! I can hardly believe it or rather not realize it. It’s still kind of hard for me though. I’ll really process it in the next few days or weeks.
The farewell group is small because many of them have to work. Nevertheless, I have already received calls from many people. I’m slowly beginning to understand that this could be a bit bigger project than just going to Gelsenkirchen, well, wait and see.
My first goal is about 100 km away (really great without a year of training), I don’t think I’ll make it, but I’m still going anyway 🙂
